Is it wrong to admit that I found Eska/Bolin the cutest couple so far in LoK?

Given that they are pretty much shaping up to be April Ludgate and Andy Dwyer with elemental kung fu, no, there is nothing wrong here.

And for the non-devs out there, how would you go about making the Great Houses iconic?

We've got plans.

(also: Sesus represent!)

My take on Abyssals: Humerus Caste, Mandible Caste, Cranium Caste, Femur Caste, Pelvis Caste. Also none of them have skin. Or muscles. Or organs. All Abyssals are skeletons.

I feel that there's a humourously coded commentary on this very thread in here.

One of the perks of having Freelancer Charms is that people assume I am much more insightful and meaningful when I post than I am actually am. ^_^

I just think skeletons are really funny. They're like regular people, but skeletons!

Lunars didn't have anything; but they got Beast Form.

I think Lunars might have been able to convert dice into successes, but my 1e-fu is weak (Holden makes fun of me for this all the time ;_;).

The leap of logic between 'there will be some Abyssal Charms that work exactly like some Solar ones' and 'Abyssals will get second-hand treatment and that means the writers are burning out' must require one hell of an Athletics Charm.

It's called Spreading the Tale of Doom Prana and it has a Presemce analogue which I'm using. It's a technique I mastered, to my own detriment. It's always active.

And I apologize, if it means anything. I'm scared, that's all emotion-6.gif

That's the problem with learning Abyssal Charms!

Someone should check the Dragon-Blooded Drive Charms in Shards, and make sure they let you do the thing Mako did with his motorcycle. If not I'll see if I can get John and Holden to give me permission to just do a random Charm for an non-canonical Ability in an outdated edition because that was rad.

Also—while the writing problems the show had in Season 1 still seem to be there in the premier, I am pleased by the introduction of a character who is essentially April Ludgate with elemental kung fu.

Nothing is more shocking than the concept of having babies.

I suppose they have no choice but to revolutionize the world.

The way before them has been prepared.

Hee. Not quite, but I like it.

Duck Fate can be used to protect against Shaping. As of the 2.5 errata, Creation-Preserving Will also functions as a Shaping defense.

They're still suspicious of the ones who are in an open relationship with him, though. :P

All of these points are very valid. How is the new 3rd edition going to address these problems? What changes to the core mechanic have been made to make combat more fun?

The short, short version: Are you familiar at all with the mechanics of Dissidia: Final Fantasy? emotion-2.gif

Has Holden or John actually said something along those lines? Because way back in January '12, when they were first explaining the fundamentals of the new combat system to me, it was with a link to a video of a Dissidia fight.

Reminiscent Oasis's fan-splat the Nocturnal Exalted had a resurrection mechanic that was based on time lord regeneration.

What makes me the most excited about this new dodge tree are the implications that dodge isn't a purely defensive ability anymore. Names such as "Force-stealing feint", "Living Bonds Unburdened" and "Hundred Shadow Ways" imply that the ability will now have more active effects and effects that might affect your opponent.

I'll put it this way: when I first read over the Dodge Charms, I think I said more "holy shits!" than when I first read over the entire Solar Charms chapter in the 2e core.

Note to self: accelerate the entire Exalted fandom/design team to relativistic speeds

Sounds good to me.

"Okay Exalted fans. Step into this tube. Only 20 minutes will pass for you, but when you emerge, 6 years will have come and gone, and 3rd Edition Exalted will have over two dozen source-books available and in print."

Nah. I'd just have to master Revolving Zodiac of Aeons Style, and then use Cosmic Axis Roundhouse Kick to relativistically accelerate the universe around me. That's doing things the Exalted way!
