What do you see as the themes of Sorcery in this edition? Is Sorcery meant to be a dangerous tool that has a price? Or is it meant to be fairly reliable and something anyone would reasonably want to use?
Sorcery isn't inherently unreliable or dangerous, not any more so than any other magic in the setting. What I think of as the quintessential element of sorcery is its strangeness - becoming a sorcerer makes you a stranger, weirder person in some way, and wielding the power that sorcery gives you to solve problems is much stranger and less straightforward than other methods.
